Aussie Street Style

First of all, keep in mind that these photos were taken a year ago. This was the end of Aussie summer season in 2011. They were so ahead of us in the States! 

Cut offs, cropped tees, high-waisted bottoms, navajo print, vintage florals, over-sized tops, collars, sheer shirts, vintage booties, and retro sneakers. Very bohemian, very retro, very laid back. I saw so much more than I actually photographed. I would love to see some Aussie street fashion in the winter when there are more layers.

Hong Kong Fashion

Clothing in Hong Kong has so much personality. A lot of color and spunk. We saw a lot of crazy shoes-- platforms, oversized, and fuzzy... they get creative. The girls love to hang cute and oversized charms on purses and backpacks. They wear cartoon characters on their accessories-- something we don't see often back home unless you're under 10 years old. One other thing I noticed was that the guys are just as stylish as the girls! When we did fashion posts in other countries, we always found far more stylish girls roaming the streets. But in Hong Kong, the guys were strutting their stuff alongside their gal pals.

On Christmas Eve night, everyone flooded the streets dressed to impress. And if they weren't wearing something stylish, they were decked out in Christmas ornaments or head gear like reindeer antlers and poinsettias. We even saw a lot of puppies and babies dressed up like Santa Claus. Most people were in couples or groups, so this post has a lot of those.

Kiev Street Fashion

People in Kiev may be the most fancy dressers in the world. Nice coats, boots, and fur are necessities (not so much the guys, but the definitely the girls). They dress up even more in the evenings (that's when the mini skirts and stilettos make a scene), but I couldn't get photos then because it was dark. We love doing a street fashion post in major cities around the world (we have one from Paris, London, and Vienna).  In other cities, we had to do a lot of walking and scout out people who were well dressed. In Kiev, they surrounded you at all times. At any moment, there was someone right next to you that deserved to be photographed. I took all these photos within an hour or two on our last day in the city with the last bit of light in the sky. 

Next time I go to Kiev, I'm definitely packing some nicer clothes.

P.S. This is the last Ukraine post. FINALLY. I feel like we've been stuck on Ukraine for so long and were a little afraid our readers would get bored, but you've stuck around! We were in four different Ukrainian cities and in the country for nearly 3 weeks, while many countries only got a few days. So as as a result, we had a lot of photos and stories to share, especially since this was our first time returning to our home country in 20 years.
